A Landlocked Country, A Reliable Corridor
Afghanistan consumes roughly 6–7 million tonnes of wheat a year, of which a large share must be imported to cover domestic shortfalls. As a landlocked country, every tonne arrives by truck through a neighbour — and the Iran corridor is the most efficient route for Russian grain.
MOSTAGRO handles the full chain: we ship Russian wheat to an Iranian port (Anzali on the Caspian, or Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf), then arrange overland trucking across the Iran–Afghanistan border to your warehouse or distribution point — all under DAP terms, so the buyer only handles customs clearance and import duties.

Shipping to Afghanistan — Common Questions
How is Russian wheat delivered to Afghanistan?
Afghanistan is landlocked, so Russian grain is shipped by sea to an Iranian port — Anzali on the Caspian Sea, or Bandar Abbas in the Persian Gulf — and then trucked overland across the Iran–Afghanistan border to destinations such as Herat, Kabul and Kandahar. We handle the full door-to-door chain under DAP terms.
Do you supply wheat flour as well as wheat grain?
Yes. We supply both Russian wheat grain (for Afghan flour mills) and ready-milled wheat flour in 50 kg bags or smaller retail packs. Wheat flour is in strong demand for naan bread production across Afghanistan, and bagged flour is often preferred over grain where local milling capacity is limited.
What packaging do you use for overland delivery?
Overland delivery to Afghanistan uses 50 kg PP woven bags, 1 MT big-bags (FIBC) with inner liner, or bulk in silo trucks. Bagged and big-bag formats are preferred because they are easy to offload at distribution points without silo infrastructure.
What are DAP terms?
Under DAP (Delivered At Place), MOSTAGRO is responsible for the goods and all transport costs up to the named destination in Afghanistan. The buyer is responsible only for import customs clearance, duties and taxes, and for unloading. This gives you a predictable landed cost.
