Handysize freight Black Sea–Turkey is not CIF Mersin
Turkish millers search Black Sea freight to Turkey or “Handysize Mersin” when they already have an FOB wheat number and need the water. This series is that water: Handysize, USD/MT heavy grains. It sat on 14 USD/MT from January into mid-March, stepped to 22–23 through June, then 26 on 25 July and 34 from 1 August — flat this week.
Adding 34 to FOB wheat does not produce a CIF Mersin stem. Insurance, port, agency and laycan still sit outside the mid. How we actually quote Turkey is on CIF Mersin Russian wheat and the market page Russia–Turkey grain. Panamax into Egypt is a different ship and corridor.
Grain mids: FOB Black Sea prices. For a Turkey stem, send discharge and volume.
