Reading the Brazilian soybean meal series

Brazilian 48% soybean meal is the second-largest meal export origin after Argentina and the main competitor for European and Asian protein demand. Export volumes follow the bean harvest with a lag, peaking from April onward.

The mid rose from 322.5 to 402.5 USD/MT — +80 USD/MT or about 25%, the largest gain on the meal board. Low and high were the first and last prints; the largest weekly move was +25 on 29 August.

Brazilian meal started the archive as the cheapest 48% grade, 25 dollars under US Gulf, and closed it only 2.5 dollars under. Read it together with the Argentine 47% line to see how the protein-point discount behaved.
