CIF Alexandria: Egypt Wheat Discharge
CIF Alexandria names an Egyptian discharge port. On MOSTAGRO stems it is used together with Damietta. The Egypt market page also names El Dekheila and Safaga as CIF options. The seller includes ocean freight and insurance to the named port. We do not publish a standing CIF dollar figure. The freight reference is Black Sea–Egypt freight history.
GASC ran Egypt's strategic wheat import until December 2024. Mostakbal Misr holds that role now. Private Egyptian mills buy on commercial contracts. Quality and documents follow the buyer in the contract, not a single public specification. The corridor page is CIF Alexandria wheat 12.5%, and the market page is Russian wheat to Egypt.
Use FOB Novorossiysk when the buyer nominates the vessel. Use CIF when the mill wants freight and insurance included.
What does CIF Alexandria mean for wheat?
