FOB, CIF and CFR for Grain Cargoes
Incoterms allocate cost and risk. They are not a slogan. MOSTAGRO sells on FOB, CIF, CFR and, for Afghanistan, DAP. The same split is in the table on logistics.
| Term | In a grain stem |
|---|---|
| FOB | Grain loaded at the named Russian port, usually Novorossiysk. The buyer arranges freight and insurance. |
| CIF | Grain, carriage and insurance to the named discharge port. Risk still passes on loading. |
| CFR | Carriage to the named port, without insurance in the MOSTAGRO invoice. |
| DAP | Named inland place, used for Afghanistan via Iran. Bags or big-bags, by truck. |
A price without an Incoterm is not a price. Send the term with the volume when you request a quote.
